Become a trainer

Become an HRD Corp Accredited Trainer

The short answer

To train under HRD Corp (formerly HRDF, also called HRDC) schemes you need to be an HRD Corp accredited trainer. The route is to obtain a Train-the-Trainer (TTT) certificate or a TTT exemption, then pass HRD Corp's accreditation. We guide you through each step and prepare the applications.

Why accreditation matters

Employers want training they can pay for with their levy. If you are not accredited, your course is not claimable, and you lose corporate clients to trainers who are.

FAQ

Become a Trainer: common questions

Do I have to attend the TTT course?

Not always. HRD Corp offers a TTT exemption based on certification, qualification or experience. Exempted trainers still need to pass the assessment to become accredited. We check your documents and tell you which route fits.

Is accreditation the same as being a training provider?

No. Accreditation is for the individual trainer. A training provider is a company registered with HRD Corp. Courses are registered by a training provider and delivered by an accredited trainer.

Can you guarantee I will be accredited?

No. HRD Corp's panel makes the decision. We make sure your application is complete and that you know what to expect.
