Planning training for your team, but not sure where HRD Corp fits in? Here’s how it works.
- What is HRD Corp?
HRD Corp, formerly known as HRDF, supports workforce training in Malaysia. Registered employers pay a training levy. Eligible employers can then use their available levy for approved training, subject to the scheme’s requirements.
- Eligibility & needs
First, check your company’s eligibility, your available levy, and whether the course qualifies. Then choose training that fits what your team actually needs.
- Apply before training
Next, apply for the grant before training starts. Prepare the required documents and submit them through e-TRiS, HRD Corp’s online system. HRD Corp reviews each application, so plan your dates around the current approval timelines.
- Train, document, claim
Once training is complete, attendance records and supporting documents are prepared, and the claim is submitted for review within the deadline. Who submits what, and how payment flows, depends on the scheme.

Courses: common questions
Are all of these courses HRDC claimable?
They are delivered by HRD Corp accredited trainers through registered training providers, so they can be claimed under HRD Corp schemes once the grant is approved. We confirm each course is claimable before you commit to a date.
Can the training be in-house, public or online?
Yes. We arrange the format that suits your team: in-house at your office, a public class, or online.
Can I pick more than one course?
Yes. Tap every course your team needs and send them in one request. We come back with one proposal covering all of them.
What if I can't find the course I need?
Choose Custom Training and tell us the problem you are trying to fix. We find an accredited trainer and build the programme around it.
How far ahead should we book?
As early as you can. The grant has to be approved before training starts, and in-house training needs 14 days between approval and the first day, so we recommend starting at least a month ahead.
